How to update the configuration of 1C - in this article we will consider three options for achieving this goal:
- By downloading the distribution from 1C;
- Installation from the site without downloading;
- From the installation disk ITS.
How to perform the update "Configurator" in 1C.
Archiving copy
Recall that before updating 1C and, in general, before any service action with a configuration, you need to create a backup. To unload the database, run the program in the "Configurator" mode:
After the launch, select the “Administration” / “Unload IB” command:
The next dialog box asks you to specify a folder (where to place the 1C configuration) and the name to save, - enter and click "Save". A convenient name for saving is the format of this type: YYYYMMDD.dt, - respectively, the date the copy was created. Successful completion of the unloading will be marked by the system message:
Check your release
Your platform release number can be checked. In response to the tap of the corresponding command button there will be a similar image:
The numbers in brackets after the revision number indicate the release number.

You can update the 1C: Enterprise configuration in this way by entering your registration data on the 1C official website. Consider updating the configuration of 1C 8. If executed correctly, a list of available updates of various configurations (purchased) will be opened. From it, you need to specify the required release, select the “Distribution for updating” item, activate “Download”, and then “Save”.
Next, the distribution kit is unpacked, the setup file starts the installation itself, again press “Next”:
The result of these actions will be an entry in the local directory of the update template. On the command - “Configuration” / “Support” / “Update” the program will ask you to specify the available updates:
Since the template has already been recorded, to save time, leave a tick only in the top line:
After the “Next” command, the program will find and present a suitable package in bold. If you double-click on it with the left mouse and click on “Done”, the installation program will acquaint the user with the description of the version being installed.
By the button “Continue updating the configuration of 1C” information about the product name, its supplier, current release will be displayed. By the next “OK” button, the platform will begin to update. The completion of this process is marked by the introduction of modified information into the database (with a request from the system).
The subsequent comparison of objects will take time, depending on the power of the user's PC. And after that the update will be completed. A further first launch of the 1C: Enterprise program in normal mode will put into effect the modified constants and new rules laid down in the new version.
Update skipping uploads
We update 1C through the configurator. A tick in the next dialog box indicates the address for searching for available updates. Further steps repeat the previous installation method.
Update from ITS disk
In order for the program to be updated using the third method, you need:
- Start the drive;
- Click "View";
- Select a technical support section;
- Choose your version of the platform and the desired release;
- Give the command “Start update”;
- When the installation window appears, indicate "Next";
- Specify the catalog for the template (or leave the proposed one) again indicate “Next” and “Finish”;
- Now the template is recorded in the special directory.
Further actions repeat the first installation method.
