Setting up an iPhone camera and using its features

Cameras on the iPhone are renowned for excellent quality, regardless of the device version. Most of the pictures are saturated, bright, the program for creating them is convenient and easy to use. Not surprisingly, Apple has gained incredible success in selling smartphones that justify the cost of quality, and users no longer need to carry cameras with them if they are not professionals.

Let's figure out how to set up the camera on the iPhone so that it works as efficiently as possible, and you can take great pictures.

On the iPhone, you get excellent quality pictures

We configure the camera on the iPhone

To use all the features of the built-in module on your smartphone, we recommend paying attention to the following parameters:

  • Grid. The screen grid helps to correctly position all objects in the future photo, to create a composition. This function is displayed over the video finder and significantly improves the result of shooting. To enable it, use the settings menu, select the “Photos and Camera” section there, in the opened window, activate the “Grid” line.
  • Remove the flash or use it carefully. With this function, you need to be careful - yes, it is designed to take photographs in the dark, but the result is not always satisfactory. Therefore, do not forget about the presence of a flash and use it in a dark room or at night outside, but always try to make two shots - with it and without it.
  • Exposure. Better yet, adjust the extended exposure time so as not to turn on the flash. For what? If you install a third-party application like Camera + and increase the exposure time, you will be able to make brighter and higher-quality photos than usual, especially in low light.

In addition, now and in the native application of the camera there is a function of fixing the exposure and focus, thanks to which you can fix the object with your finger and remove it as clearly as possible.

  • Focus. Even for clear pictures, be sure to keep the camera steady and motionless. How to do it? You can always rely on something, set the smartphone on a solid surface. In addition, there are applications that can use the accelerometer in a smartphone to determine when it is least moving and take a photo at that second.
  • HDR mode. Very useful, convenient and beautiful mode of the camera, which makes the photo much brighter, clearer and better in general. This is especially true for selfie shots. By the way, in iPhone6 mode, by default, it can work right when taking pictures and shooting video.

HDR mode

  • Adjust white balance and color rendition. By default, the white balance is set automatically, but if you see that the photos look unnatural, adjust it manually. To adjust the color, use additional programs from the Apple store to change the saturation, contrast, or sharpness of images.
  • Avoid using zoom if possible. It is always better to turn it off and go closer to yourself than to photograph objects from afar and bring them together in the lens - this significantly distorts the result and makes the pictures poor in quality.
  • Use filters. It doesn't matter where you get them from - install from a third-party application, or select effects from your own program. Filters change the photo for the better, can better emphasize the atmosphere or drastically change the mood of the picture. The main thing is to experiment more and are not afraid to try a lot of filters, and after some time of use you will be able to navigate yourself on which tool to use for the snapshot.

Filters

  • Motion requires serial shooting. Serial shooting is present in all iPhones, but in the sixth version of the smartphone it has become even more convenient. It’s easy to use this function - activate it in the camera menu, then press the shutter key to create a photo and take a continuous series of shots. Next, you will need to choose the best shot from a series of photos. This mode is great for shooting moving subjects that would otherwise be impractical to the average user.
  • Panorama. A great tool for creating beautiful and large photos, combining a variety of objects in the picture, capturing nature along the horizon. Panoramic pictures have their extraordinary beauty and allow you to appreciate the environment from a different angle. All you need to take a panorama is to practice in gradually turning the lens along the horizon, and after a while you will be able to create beautiful and saturated photos.

How to turn off the sound of the camera on the iPhone

And if you have mastered the Camera application, and when creating images you are confused by only one thing - the sound of the shutter, we suggest that you do the following:

  • Put the iphone in silent mode.
  • Now start the camera and take pictures.

Yes, unfortunately, there is no other way to turn off the shutter sound on official devices.

If you use a “hacked” iPhone, you can completely disable the shutter sound as follows:

  • Connect your smartphone to your PC and launch the file manager - any application of this kind will do.
  • In the root folder, locate the "Raw File System" directory.
  • Navigate to the system folder, then select Library / Audio / UISounds.
  • Add photoShutter.caf to the file name. the letter "B" before the extension, at the end of the name.

And if you know how to use tweaks, you can simply download the SilentPhotoChill file from Cydia — when you use it, the shutter sound will be turned off.

Using these tips, you can create even better photos and images using the camera of your smartphone and now know how to turn off the shutter sound if it annoys you. These tips are definitely worth using, because the camera module in Apple's devices is worth it to study it thoroughly, and it can completely replace your ordinary digital camera.
