How to set up a router for Ufanet

A large number of users in the Republic of Bashkortostan and a number of other places in the Russian Federation use the services of the Internet provider Ufanet. This company is currently considered the largest provider in its region, its market share is 70%. It is obvious that many people are faced with the need to self-configure the UfaNet router to work with the Internet. We offer detailed instructions to do everything correctly.

Ufanet is considered rather a regional provider.

Preparing to connect

Consider the whole process on the example of equipment TP LINK. Connect the device to the PC and configure the network card. When setting up for the first time, it is better to use a cable connection, rather than Wi-Fi: the cable connecting you to the Internet world should be connected to the WAN-socket of the router (usually colored blue). Included with the router should be another cable. One end of this cable should be connected to the network card, the other to the yellow socket of the router. Now you can connect the device to the power supply.

How to set up a connection

To set up a router to distribute Wi-Fi, it is important to enter the parameters //192.168.0.1 or //192.168.1.1 in the line of any browser.

Further execute such manipulations:

  • Log in to the TP LINK web interface, enter admin / admin;
  • go to Network - WAN;
  • enter your data written in the service agreement (there you will find the Password, User Name, IP);
  • enter the connection type PPTP / Russia PPTP;
  • enter pptp.ufanet.ru (server address);
  • select “Automatically connect” (Connect Automatically);
  • save the settings.

Important! If you choose Dynamic IP, then nothing more is required; If you select Static IP, you will need to enter the address settings received from the Ufanet provider.

The local network

First of all, go to the DHCP Settings. There you must enable the DHCP server (Enable). The important moment is the setting of the number of gadgets to which the TP LINK router can be distributed. The range is prescribed in the Start / End IP Adress sections, starting from 192.168.0.1 (change only the last number).

Wi-Fi

The most important element of the setting, without which to sit in the World Wide Web from the phone will not work. In the TP LINK menu already familiar to you, go to Wireless Settings (Wireless item). Then in the SSID field, enter the name of your network.

Go to "Settings" and do the following:

  1. In the Version field, we set WPA2-PSK.
  2. Checkbox opposite WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK.
  3. In the Encryption - Automatic field.

It remains to come up with a password for the distribution of Wi-Fi, here you can enter any word (most importantly, then do not forget it).

After studying this manual, you can easily set up a connection to Ufanet. Write in the comments, what kind of router you use to distribute the Internet!
