Since May 15, 2017, social network users on VKontakte have encountered the problem of logging into their accounts. From that day on, sanctions were launched in Ukraine prohibiting visits to a number of sites, such as Yandex and related services, for example, Yandex Money. Also banned were VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. But the Internet has won, and all accounts of Ukrainian VK users will be saved on the servers.
The management of Yandex and all social networks expressed regret in connection with the efforts spent on product development specifically for the residents of Ukraine. Delete accounts of visitors to VK will not be, and users will be able to log into their accounts from outside the state. Providers providing access to prohibited services and sites will be fined. According to the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine, no measures will be applied to private users, and people, if they wish, will sit in the VC in Ukraine, as before. Moreover, no mechanism has yet been provided for how the providers themselves will be fined for trying to circumvent the ban.
