One of the large number of entertainment that gives us our technological age is satellite television. The most common on the territory of the Russian Federation is the satellite TV "Tricolor TV". And now we will consider the way of self-installation and configuration of a satellite dish.

Antenna installation

Fasten the converter with the outputs down to avoid moisture ingress. Connect the coupling to the receiver (head) of the converter. We clean the cable, removing the upper part of the insulation by about 10 mm (we remove it carefully, without damaging the shielding braid), roll the screen (foil) on the insulation (in the opposite direction from the end) and remove the internal insulation (also 10 mm). Bite off the extra length of the copper core, leaving a tip of 2 mm.

After that, the finished cable is securely screwed into the F-connector of the satellite antenna converter, with electrical tape or "ties" we attach the cable to the holder, fasten more reliably so that our cable is not afraid of any weather conditions, we pull the holder in an arc for reliability. Fix the plate in the bracket and fasten the design with the condition that the plate looks to the south, not forgetting about the factors listed above.

ATTENTION. Do not tighten the mounting bolts of the antenna to the bracket, as in the future we are still waiting for the adjustment of the Tricolor TV satellite dish.

If you managed to correctly install the satellite dish without any problems, then it will be much easier for you, since the most difficult installation and configuration step has already been completed and the next steps will be carried out with the participation of your TV.

Connect the antenna to the TV

As soon as we fixed the satellite dish itself, we also clean the other end of the cable and attach it to the receiver (not forgetting the important length factor mentioned above). The next step is one of two options for connecting the receiver to the TV:

1. High frequency connection. With PVC cable, we extend the connection from the receiver (RF Out connector) to the TV (antenna cable input). We are powered from the mains, turn on the corresponding Power button on the receiver body. The appearance of the inscription Boot should be the channel number. Turn on the TV receiver and start the search for channels. If he finds only one channel without a signal, it means that there are no errors in the connection of the receiver.
2. Low frequency connection We make the connection with an AV cable (popularly called “tulips”) or a scart cable (wide multi-tooth connector). We connect the receiver to the mains and turn on the power switch. We are waiting for the channel number to light up after the illuminated Boot inscription. On the TV remote control, we find the A / V (Audio / Video) button and start the video mode. If you finally get an empty channel without a signal, the receiver is set up.

The next step is to look at the strength and quality of the signal received by the receiver from the satellite. Click on the TV remote control any channel. We see the channel number, transmission and time, which received from the satellite. Since the channel setup is still ahead, the TV will show us a blank screen.

Antenna tuning

After all the installation work on the installation of the satellite dish "Tricolor TV" is done, proceed to the part of the self-tuning and adjustment of the antenna. The signal received by the TV from the installed Tricolor plate, respectively, will be equal to the quality of the work performed. So do not regret time and effort, carefully follow all the instructions. We receive a signal and perform the same manipulations to obtain the best signal quality (we grope a point with the best level of signal strength and quality), while looking at the quality of the image and sound - there should not be any interference.

TIP. To set up, you will need the help of 1 more person, since you will not be able to simultaneously adjust the antenna and watch the signal levels!

We get the desired image and sound quality, do not forget to tighten the mounting bolts, fix the position of the plate.

Note. If when adjusting the signal strength scale is filled, but the quality scale is not - the plate caught the wrong satellite. The same reason, if both scales are filled above 70%, and there are no pictures!
