Connect via HDMI from PS3
First, we try to use a more advanced connector on the console and a cable - HDMI. Let's not forget, HDMI is multichannel, so if there are no pictures, only channels need to be matched; the quality will be better nowhere - more than 3 thousand pixels in width and more than 2000 in height, at a speed of 48 Gb / s (the latest version of connector 2.1) this will not give any computer.
HDMI connector on the TV
If there is no HDMI connector on the TV, then the task smoothly changes to a slightly changed one, how to connect the PS3 to the old TV, well, albeit a bit outdated, not keeping pace with Sony's speed.
In this case, to connect the PS3 and need an adapter "Tulip" - from HDMI on the console to AV on the TV. In principle, quality may suffer, but only for those who distinguish between 3000 × 2000 and 2500 × 1500, the overwhelming majority are not given, and it is not necessary.
Perhaps, after making the connection, if there is no picture at once, then you will have to restart the console, holding the power button until the second beep.
If you want to use a SCART connector for the connection, then in any case you will need an adapter, although with the number of possibilities that already exist, this option is the worst in terms of quality.
Connects to monitors
The latest monitor models already have an HDMI connector, so when choosing it, you only need to buy a cable. Just in case, find out what modification the HDMI connector on your monitor, there are three: standard, full-size (type A), mini (C) and micro (D). You will need to buy the appropriate cable - from A to A, from A to C or from A to D.

But it can be said with high probability that there will be a DVI connector on the monitor. Then again, you need an adapter from HDMI to DVI. But he will not solve all the problems - the fact is that DVI does not transmit sound. Therefore, you will have to take care of the speakers separately (if the monitor, of course, without them, or even without the 3.5 mm Jack jack).
We connect the speakers again through the tulips (and again running around with the purchase) - on the console we use the Multi Out RCA connector, on the speakers - the red and white Audio in put connectors.
Such audio support will then require you to enter the console settings, select the audio settings and select the item “Audio Input Connector / SCART / AVMULTI” among the three options.
When providing sound through optocable - one end of it into the console, the second - into the column. And again we go to the sound settings, but choose the second line - Optical Digital.
A quick note about the sound
Multi-channel HDMI-connector with some plays a cruel joke - after connecting the sound is not there. This is due to the fact that the current digital television equipment interprets different sound formats in different ways, which have accumulated at least two dozen. Therefore, if you do not have sound when connected via HDMI, then restart the console, holding the power button until the second beep.
