Many now agree that the development of mobile technology, in particular - smartphones, has ceased to be revolutionary - now it’s rather evolutionary. Simply put, manufacturers seek to hone already known functions, bringing them to a state close to ideal. Ordinary users can only decide on the indicator "price-quality", which is important for any segment - from budget to premium. And today we will test the smartphone, claiming a good combination of features at an affordable price. We will check how good the gadget really is, with particular emphasis on quality and functionality. So, we meet - under our watchful eye smartphone Turbo X5 Max!
Let's start with the look. The device fully justifies the presence of "Max" (abbreviated from "maximum") in its name - it is large and solid, with a large display. Assembled with high quality, no squeaks and backlashes, as well as gaps between the parts. It is designed, of course, rather on a large male pocket - for women of this size it is more convenient to carry in a bag. The front panel is almost completely allocated under the screen with a diagonal of 5.5 inches, above which is the eye of the front camera. On the back is the main camera, as well as a removable cover. Under it is a large battery, as well as slots for SIM cards and a micro SD card. We note the practicality of the back cover, grooved on it, so that the gadget does not slip in your hands.
The display of the device is made on the basis of the IPS matrix, the image is bright and contrast, we did not notice either the flickering of the backlight (often the effect of PWM found in gadgets), or any other effects that impede the use of the device. The resolution is 1280x720 pixels, the touch layer supports up to 5 simultaneous touches. In general, the display - the undoubted advantage of the device, a large diagonal and high-quality matrix allow you not to strain your eyesight.
The Turbo X5 Max filling includes a MTK MT8580 system-on-chip with a 4-core Cortex A7 processor and a Mali400 video adapter. The amount of RAM is 1 GB, the main - 8 GB. Of course, in fact, the user is less accessible, since part of the memory is already occupied by the operating system and applications. Thus, in real access - about 5 GB, this volume is easy to increase using micro SD cards. We tested the operation of the device with a 32 GB card (Class 6) manufactured by Transcend, there were no difficulties in the process, the files are quickly read and written. As for the overall performance of the gadget, it can be described as high: this applies both to work with the Android 6.0 interface (very smooth), and with applications. The device easily copes with Internet surfing, viewing HD-video, office applications, as well as most games.
A modern smartphone should be equipped with all the popular ways to exchange data with the outside world, and Turbo X5 Max has full order with it. There is Bluetooth on board (with all the necessary profiles, including music transfer), Wi-Fi (the sensitivity of the module is quite high, even after a couple of walls, the speed did not drop any significant), as well as a chip for navigation through GPS. Data transfer is also supported via 3G mobile networks. As a mobile phone, the device, despite its solid size, is very convenient - this is achieved through the ergonomics of the case. The voice is transmitted clearly and without interference, both interlocutors hear each other well.
The undoubted advantage of the gadget - in its large battery, the capacity of which is 5350 mAh. This allows not to worry that the device is discharged at the most inopportune moment. And every day it is not necessary to put it on recharging, it is enough to do it once every two or three days with an average intensity of operation. Charging is carried out through the supplied adapter with USB output and takes about 2.5 hours.
